Malcolm Grba is a trilingual public servant whose life purpose is to serve others. He believes in the power of thoughtful, co-created technology to amplify change. Malcolm’s research and product development focuses on developing multimodal experiences that can facilitate the wellbeing of older adults and their support systems across diverse settings.

Malcolm graduated with distinction from Harvard’s Design Engineering Master’s program in 2025 where he developed research, technology, and pedagogy across Harvard’s schools. He is a member of Brown University’s Sociotechnical Systems and Wellbeing Lab with his co-authored work, “Not in the Café: Older Adults’ Perceptions of AI Companions in Community Living Settings,” recently accepted in EAI Pervasive Health 2025.

Malcolm is a proud Teach For America alum, Fulbright recipient, and Tulane University dual-degree holder. When he’s not working on purpose-built technology, he’s thinking about movement (biking, running, and functional fitness) and building community with friends and loved ones.
