Joseph Coughlin Discusses "The Best Places to Retire"

by Adam Felts

AgeLab Director Joseph Coughlin is tapped as an expert on planning for and finding a place to live in retirement, as part of a study by WalletHub analyzing the best and worst places to live in retirement. Dr. Coughlin writes:

Retirees, guided by trite brochures and TV ads, often believe that retirement is an endless vacation. It is not. Retirement is a long, long time. Choosing a place to vacation that changes up your routine is great for a week, maybe two, but then life sets in. Places that are great to recreate may not be places to retire.

Read Dr. Coughlin's thoughts in full - and the list of places to retire - here.
