Taylor Patskanick Appointed President of Boston Bridge
by Adam Felts
AgeLab researcher Taylor Patskanick, LCSW, MSW, MPH, has been appointed President of the Board of Boston Bridge, Inc., a local nonprofit and professional association composed of emerging and established professionals in the field of aging who work or study in the state of Massachusetts. Boston Bridge is closely affiliated with the MIT AgeLab and holds its monthly meetings on the MIT campus.
Boston Bridge meetings are an opportunity for professionals and students across a range of fields to exchange knowledge, promote professional development, and work together on improving services for older adults and those who care for them. They are also a stage for networking between both emerging and established professionals in the field of aging working across sectors from social services to start-ups.
In addition to providing leadership and vision to the direction of Boston Bridge as President, Ms. Patskanick will serve as the leader of Boston Bridge’s monthly meetings. Prior to her appointment as President, Ms. Patskanick served as the Clerk of the Board of Boston Bridge, Inc., for two years.
Complementary to her work in the Greater Boston community, Ms. Patskanick leads the AgeLab’s national OMEGA program, which aims to develop intergenerational connections between older adults and younger people through scholarships and programming for high school students. She also plays a key role in organizing the AgeLab’s Lifestyle Leaders Panel, a research cohort of adults ages 85 and older.
